Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System MDS Coordinator (LPN or RN) in Union, South Carolina
The MDS Coordinator is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team who functions as a liaison between the resident, family, and staff. Coordinates all aspects of regulatory data set completion assuring accuracy and adherence to mandated completion times. Provides and understand the specific communication, development, treatment needs of residents, families, and visitors ranging in age from early adult to late adult. Is responsible for maintaining an up to date data set manual and reviewing and revising of the data set policies and procedures, as appropriate. Is responsible for coordinating the MDS Coordinator communication, education and competency validation. Ensures the completion of necessary documentation by all disciplines for the completion of the resident’s data set. Maintains clinical knowledge through journal review, conferences and software programs. Participates in quality assessment performance improvement process. Complies with departmental and facility institutional standards.
Required: Licensed Practical Nursing Degree
Preferred: Associates of Nursing Degree preferred
- Required: Strong computer skills with accuracy in typing; ability to coordinate and file (electronically and paper), alphabetically; excellent professional communication skills.
Licenses / Certifications
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse in SC.
