SC Department of Public Safety Administrative Manager I (Director of Administration) in Sumter County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

This position is located at the SC Dept. of Mental Health at Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center (CMHC), at the Sumter clinic located at 801 N. Pike West, Sumter, SC 29153. Under general supervision of the Executive Director, carries the responsibilities of the Business Office, and oversees the fiscal operation and monitors the budget of Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center (SWCMHC). Develops and implements a center-wide plan for administrative management. Prepares the Center budget and provides oversight for expenditures, audits of programs, purchasing and upkeep of equipment and contracts. Plans and develops diverse administrative programs throughout the four (4) County catchment area to include securing and utilizing resources and management of staff time and efforts. Manages the areas of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Coordinates with the Executive Director, Chief of Staff, Director of Quality Management and other Executive Management Team members of SWCMHC in developing center operating strategies to meet center needs. Manages the finances of physical facilities of the Center to include maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds. Participates as a standing member of the Center Executive Management Team. Serves as a member of the Center Management Team that provides reports to the SWCMHC Board of Directors. Manages and oversees the financial inquires and responsibilities of the Center and prepares responses to routine and non-routine inquiries from community stakeholders, and DMH officials. Conversant and complies with all Corporate requirements including CARF standards, Fire and Safety Policies and Procedures and other Center, DMH and State Policies and Procedures. Performs all other duties as necessary.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer candidate with Masters Degree in Accounting and /or Business Management or other related program. SCEIS related experience preferred.

Santee-Wateree CMHC is also an approved site of the National Health Service Corps, (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000 to employees of NHSC-approved sites. You must be a US citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans.
