Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Coord-Continuing Education in Spartanburg, South Carolina

Position Summary

The Continuing Education (CE) Coordinator assesses, plans, coordinates, administers, directs, and evaluates educational programs for health care professionals within our healthcare system, the community, state-wide and surrounding states for the purposes of certification, professional development, enrichment and updating of skills.

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field


  • Two to three years’ experience in a similar position


  • BSN

  • Master’s in nursing or healthcare related field

    Core Responsibilities

  • Accreditation with ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) & SC Nurses Association CE Provider

  • Involvement with accreditation with CMS, DHEC, OSHA and/or any other regulatory bodies

  • Maintains standards of providership for continuing education credit for the SC State Board of Nursing, SC Board of Examiners for healthcare and numerous allied health professionals and Registered Pharmacists.

  • Coordinates Educational Offerings which includes managing costs and revenue

  • Coordinates the delivery of quality educational programs.

  • Offers programs based on educational needs and/or current trends.

  • Conducts each program according to standards set by accrediting bodies.

  • Collaborates with another program coordinators/other agencies.

  • Provides follow-up for complaints or concerns rec’d through post surveys.

  • Program Evaluation summaries

  • Shared and reviewed with the speakers and planning committee.

  • Utilized as resource in yearly program planning.

  • Assures accurate record keeping.

  • Continuous maintenance on safekeeping and confidentiality of all educational records with accessibility only through the coordinator and/or office staff
