Medical Customer Service- Patient Contact

Are you a caring customer service professional that wants to further develop your skills and knowledge in healthcare, while making a difference in patient's lives? We're looking for a passionate patient customer service representative to join our growing medical practice.

Our newly remodeled back office is updated with the latest technology to support your work and documentation of patient support. If you have a positive, professional demeanor and understand the importance of compassion for others in difficult situations, you may be the person this medical office needs.

Responsibilities:

As the a patient customer service representative, You will greet patients and answer incoming calls. Emails and messages from patients will help you to troubleshoot issues and research solutions. You will also be responsible for taking bill payments, processing orders, and reviewing options with patients. In addition, you will document information into a client system to track customer interactions and solutions.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:

  • Answering phones and greet incoming patients and visitors.

  • Performing patient registration, insurance verification, and collect co-pays.

  • Guiding patients through a sometimes difficult process by thoughtfully talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.

  • Coordinating with office staff for timely care of patients.

  • Cross-training and helping as needed in other departments (i.e. scheduling, medical records, etc).

Education:

High School

Experience:

Experienced

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

1 - 3 years of patient care experience

Basic software skills required, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software skills preferred

Ability to type and enter data at a minimum of 30 WPM or 3000 KPH

Excellent listening and communication skills with demonstrated social sensitivity and ability to diffuse emotional situations

Customer service focus with good problem-solving and conflict resolution

Flexibility, reliability and ability to prioritize
