POSITION PURPOSE: Assists supervisor and other school staff by performing a variety of data entry duties which may include, but not limited to reports, correspondence, researching, and compiling data for administrative, staff/teacher, and statistical reports; scheduling data trainings and maintaining agendas and attendance logs; maintaining computer record-keeping operations, establishing and maintaining filing systems, etc. as related to LACES data.
Performs computer data entry to record and retrieve information; maintains assigned data bases, generates computer reports as required.
Prepares. types, copies, files, transmits, and/or mails various routine letter of correspondence, forms, records, and reports as needed to communicate data-related trainings, updates, meetings, etc.
Ensures all records and reports are prepared and maintained in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints in areas of responsibility.
Operates a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, fax machine, copier, etc.
Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, other program administrators and program staff, state administrators and staff, and the general public.
Attends training, seminars, and conferences, etc., as required to maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills.
Performs accurate data entry in LACES including, but not limited to, student demographic information, pre/post-testing information, goals attainment information, etc.
Ensures accuracy of existing and newly entered LACES data.
Ensures that enrolling students are properly entered into the LACES database following state guidelines.
Ensures that students withdrawing from the program are properly inactivated.
Routinely checks student information in the system for accuracy.
Prepares monthly reports for teachers and administrators to provide a data quality control procedure to check for errors.
Perform other LACES-data related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Assumes primary responsibility for generating and transmitting assigned reports and documents.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Adult Education, Chief Auxiliary Services Officer, Principal, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent. QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent
Able to type/enter computer data with speed and accuracy
One to two years of general data entry experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
