This position is located at C.M. Tuckerat * *2200 Harden St, Columbia, SC 29203
Under general supervision, you will provide nursing supervision to professional nursing personnel in the administration of nursing practices to include planning, organizing and distributing of work assignments to personnel in a designated area.
Makes rounds, observes, demonstrates and assesses residents to ensure that nursing care is administered in accordance to residents' needs, policies, and standards of nursing. Documents assessments according to physicians' orders. Gives and documents direct resident care, medication and treatments as needed.
Provides input and assists in planning and implementing nursing care programs. Interprets and reviews policies, procedures and guidelines with nursing staff. participates as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team.
You will be familiar with OBRS TJC, OSHA and DHEC requirements. Evaluates and monitors environmental conditions and quality of life for residents.
This position is worked on the day (7:00am-3:30pm), evening (3:00pm-11;30pm), night (11:15pm-7:15am) shift, including week-ends and holidays.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirement: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience.
Agency Requirement: A bachelor's degree in nursing, or a three (3) year diploma in nursing or an associate degree in nursing and at least two (2) years of clinical nursing experience in either psychiatric nursing or geriatric nursing or medical/surgical nursing. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.
