SC Department of Public Safety Nurse Manager III/Clinical Nurse Leader (Nurse Administrator/Manager I)/CMTNCC-Roddey in Richland County, South Carolina

Job Responsibilities

This position is located and worked on the C. M. Tucker Campus, Roddey Pavilion 2200 Harden Street Columbia, SC.

Supplemental location pay applies to C.M. Tucker Jr Nursing Care Center & Bryan Psychiatric Hospital facilities. Must meet direct-care qualifications.

Under general supervision, is responsible for 24 hours/7 days a week supervision of nursing staff in the provision of nursing care to a unit of residents; to include planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and delegating nursing care. Responsible for implementation and evaluation of quality measures, QAPI Plan and outcomes of unit based quality initiatives. Makes daily clinical rounds to observe and assess nursing care. Ensures that nursing standards and facility policies are maintained. Puts evidence-based practice into action to ensure that residents benefit from the latest innovations in care delivery. Provides for individual resident needs. According to regulatory agency standards, ensures compliance and implements necessary corrective actions according to survey reports. Assumes leadership and responsibility of QAPI activities for unit which includes collecting and analyzing data such as M-300s, Casper Reports, infection rates, and falls. Monitors data using quality improvement strategies to increase quality outcomes. This clinician functions as part of an inter-professional team by communication, planning, and implementing care directly with other healthcare professionals, including LPP, pharmacists, social workers, resource nurses, activity therapists, nurse practitioners and other counselors. Participates in the resident care conference (RCC). Performs ongoing nursing assessments and updates treatment plans, as necessary. Plans, assigns, coordinates and evaluates competency of nursing personnel.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirement: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirement: A bachelor's degree in nursing and three (3) years experience as a registered nurse, one (1) year of which must be nursing management experience. Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of South Carolina Board of Nursing.
