Directs the receiving, distribution and stocking of all materials. Manages and controls these items to ensure a continuous and adequate supply of needed resources to all end users at all times. Performs periodic inventory audits of all items in stock as required by the agency. Operates US Postal Machine, United Parcel Service Computer and postage scale in accordance with SOP. Opens and separates mail and specimens by test requested, which consists of using a box cutter and some have to be unscrewed with a two to four inch top. Specimens are sorted and distributed accordingly. Prepares monthly shipping reports and assists in shipping vaccine packages. Must pick up mail and specimens from Post Office and properly sort and store them on assigned weekends and holidays. Serves as backup person in the event of an emergency. Must be able to drive a cargo van and possess a valid SC driver's license. Must be able to distinguish colors and work on assigned weekends and holidays.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma and journey-level technical experience in a related laboratory setting.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
