Position Summary
The Inpatient Services Associate (ISA) is responsible for patient related clerical activities, departmental clerical duties, and other unit activities, as assigned. The ISA must be able to provide and understand the specific communication needs of patients, families, and visitors. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the ISA provides focused non-licensed clinical care for patients throughout the age continuum including phlebotomy, basic nursing skills, etc., and environmental assistance to facilitate quality service and improve patient outcomes. The ISA will document and communicate with team members in a timely manner about patient progress, needs and problems. The ISA will collaborate with Leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s Mission and Goals.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- High School graduate or equivalent
Experience
- Graduate Nurse OR CNA, PCA/PCT, EMT, Surgical Technician, Medical Assistant OR completion of 1st semester of Nursing Clinicals OR one-year experience in healthcare setting
License/Registration/Certifications
- BLS
