POSITION SUMMARY- Embroidery Technician is responsible for coordinating internal and external embroidery process by conducting internal digitizing and monitoring/tracking embroideries from outside vendors. Process law label renewals and track


  • Evaluate, digitize and set up embroidery files and embroidery thread charts.

  • Submit and give responsible alternatives to NY Design.

  • Load designs and thread colors, information to web for vendors in a timely manner.

  • Review factory submits.

  • Manage calendar timelines to meet all dates for department.

  • Evaluate novelty sewing executions, and safety.

  • Keep accurate records.

  • Maintain embroidery manual with updates as needed.

  • Process law label licenses to accounting, match checks to invoice and mail to vendors (States and Canada).

  • When licenses are received from States or Canada, copy and email to distribution.

  • Verify third party lab testing charges to monthly invoices.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, stoop, bend, reach, lift, works on computer, repetitive motion (substantive movement of the hands, fingers, arms and wrists), and hear.



  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent Technical Training.

Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Proficient in Digitizing.

  • Creative.

  • Self-Motivation.

  • Fabric knowledge.

  • Basic Garment construction.

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position: Must know how to operate embroidery machines.

Computer knowledge ? proficient in current office applications, Tajima pulse digitizing software, Illustrator and photoshop.
