Job Summary/Purpose : The Regional Director, Imaging Services (RDIS) reports to the Senior Administrator, Imaging Services (SAIS) and Chair, Imaging Services (CIS), respectively. The RDIS is responsible for the overall management and operation of Regional Imaging Services and is directly involved in all day-to-day aspects of the business unit. This role partners with the CAO-IS and CIS to lead and manage the Regional Imaging Services integrated delivery team, inclusive of physicians, advance practice providers (APPs), business managers and other dedicated, specific resources. This position maintains an aligned (dotted line) relationship with the MUSC Health Chief Operating Officer to ensure efficient and appropriate utilization of clinical delivery support functions. This role manages support service arrangements across Functional Areas and sets performance expectations for services not directly reporting to Regional Imaging Services.

Minimum Training and Education: A master’s degree in hospital administration, healthcare administration, business administration, public health or a related graduate level degree with a minimum of ten years managerial experience in a leadership role is required; a minimum of five years managerial experience in a healthcare setting is strongly desired. Expertise in goal setting, budget management, performance improvement/quality and management of staff is needed. Substantial experience in a complex medical center environment is preferred; experience relevant to Imaging Services is required. Must possess expert financial and people management skills and a demonstrated history of excelling in leadership positions with an emphasis on program growth.
