Job Summary/Purpose: The cath lab technologist is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures. Responsible for assisting the cardiologist in while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. Collaborates with other professionals in and out of the Hospital to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired outcomes. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Minimum Training and Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or CVIS. Previous experience preferred. Critical Care Experience required.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: ARRT, CVIS , CRT , RRT. Current BLS certification

Cath lab or Cardiovascular specialty certification preferred.

(Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Continuous) Ability to work indoors. (Continuous) Ability to work outdoors under all weather and temperature conditions. (Infrequent) Must possess good olfactory senses. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to work in confined close quarters. (Frequent) Ability to fully use both legs. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to work in confined cramped quarters.
