Palmetto Health Phlebotomist in Columbia, South Carolina
Responsible for accurate and timely work in performing patient phlebotomy, ordering/processing laboratory tests, labeling, monitoring computer reports, clerical duties as assigned, and positive and courteous patient interaction.

Shows proficiency in blood collection and performs task in timely and accurate manner. Accurately and efficiently performs "waived" testing as required.
Receives, greets and assists guests/patients in a timely and courteous manner.
Answers phone in a courteous, clear and timely manner recording orders for lab tests and accurately giving out appropriate reports to proper personnel.
Accurately and in a timely manner inputs and accesses information via the hospital and laboratory computer systems.
Accurately and in a timely manner processes specimens for testing.
Consistently communicates effectively.
Positively responds to and implements change.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
Experience: 3 months of related experience; or certificate in phlebotomy from accredited program
License, Registry, or Certification Required: Certificate from accredited phlebotomy program preferred
Special Training: Must be able to read and follow simple written instructions. Must possess excellent computer and interpersonal skills.
