Responsible for coordinating nursing and clinical IT initiatives for Prisma Health to include the identification and implementation of IT enhancements for the enterprise.

Serves as the strategic liaison for health IT efforts representating nursing and clinician needs. Collaborates with IT and Operational Leadership to develop priorities for IT initiatives.
Combines knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of health IT in clinical settings.
Acts as a change agent in the identfication, development, planning, implementation, and value measurement of informatics strategies to support quality patient care and professional practice.
Works with clinical and IT leaders in evaluating the effectiveness of technologies and workflows that impact clincal users.
Promotes advancement of clinical and business intelligence systems capable of reporting variables to evaluated patient outcomes, to support research, and operational improvement across the continuum of care.
Creates a communications strategy and enterprise vision for nursing/clinical informatics in concert to reflect nursing strategic and operational strategies.
Ensures clinician input and participation in the selection and implementation of clinical modalities that integrate with the Electronic Medical Record.
Responsible for ensuring quality improvement efforts are consistent with promoting informatics research, regulatory bodies, and guidelines as well as evidence based practice that support positive clinical outcomes.
Promotes the use of health IT to improve patient safety by desigining, developing, implementing, and educating on decision support tools.
Engages clinical staff in the selection and development of standardized tools and workflows across the health company.
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, Infomatics, or healthcare-related field.
Experience: 5 years of Senior level leadership experience in nursing and clinical IT.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: American Nurses Credentialing Center - Nursing Infomatics certification preferred. RN currently licensed in South Carolina required.
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities: Extensive experience with CPOE and project management; working knowledge of Cerner and EPIC clinical information systems preferred.
