The James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine (CDM) is recruiting a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in the Division of Oral Medicine, Radiology and Emergency Services in the Department of Stomatology. Candidates will be expected to fully participate in predoctoral dental instruction, clinical activities, radiology faculty practice and in departmental research and/or other scholarly activities.
Expectations of the position include: Involvement in OMFR curricular planning, providing didactic and clinical instruction in OMFR to students in pre-doctoral and post-doctoral dental education programs, oversees the Oral Radiology rotation for pre-dental students, analyze and interpret radiographs and write related reports, as requested by students and faculty, perform services necessary to implement the educational programs and academic objectives of the department and serves as CDM’s Radiation Safety Officer, ensuring all clinical operations that involve radiologic exposure are conducted in compliance with federal, local laws and University protocols for human and workplace safety.
Requirements: Applicants must have a DDS, DMD or equivalent degree, with advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology training, from a CODA accredited program. Applicants are expected to be Board-certified or Board-eligible through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ABOMR). Preferred qualifications include teaching experience in a predoctoral dental education program and clinical practice experience.
