Job Summary/Purpose : The Medical Informatics Program Coordinator reports to the CMIO with a matrixed reporting relationship to the CNIO. Under limited supervision, the Medical Informatics Program Coordinator supports the adoption and optimization of health information technology and digital transformation initiatives for the enterprise. This role assists Informatics Medical Directors, Epic Clinician Builders, and other informatics workgroups, in close coordination with clinical informatics, systems education, and clinical applications teams, with documentation; tracking of timelines and milestones; engagement and communication with stakeholders; facilitating meetings related to informatics projects and operations and recording next steps/responsibilities; troubleshooting and resolving problems; plans and coordinates visits, training, and events; and remains current with new technologies. Responsibilities also include collaboration and coordination with academic and research stakeholders across the enterprise, including the College of Medicine, College of Health Professions, and Biomedical Informatics Center (BMIC) in educational, research, and digital transformation initiatives, which may include assistance with grant development or administration, assistance with development of a clinical informatics fellowship program, and other educational initiatives for students and trainees.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelors degree in health, business or related field; or High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years related project, administrative, or healthcare work experience required. Bachelors degree preferred. Electronic health records experience and understanding of clinical work flows and technology strongly preferred. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
