Under minimal supervision of the area Operations Director, performs a variety of duties in support of the Northwood, North Area, John's Island and Sea Island clinics. Manages daily operations of sites to include oversite of staffing, training, scheduling, facility maintenance, customer and staff satisfaction, staff retention, and community partnership development. Implements QI concepts to eliminate waste and minimize procedure error within processes. Effectively maintain compliance with CLIA, SC Pharmacy and SC Nursing Board requirements. Must be able to provide effective nursing case management through Employee Health and is responsible for the Employee Health program in Charleston county.

Clinic Operations and Employee Health: Coordination of all clinic services to include staffing, scheduling, and provision of service delivery. Establishment of processes to assure safety, cleanliness and aesthetic of facility. Effective management of resources and supplies to assure quality care and fiscal responsibility. Coordination with program experts to assure quality and compliance with program requirements. Implements and maintains effective corrective action plans as indicated. Participate in Disaster Preparedness activities. Ensures provision of Employee Health case management to all headquartered at the sites.

Leadership and Customer Satisfaction: Evaluation of customer satisfaction through a variety of methods including online/paper surveys, post-visit calls, and online tools (Yelp/Google reviews). Utilize data to develop and implement effective strategies to improve and maintain customer satisfaction. Evaluation of hiring, orientation and training practices to include staff satisfaction and retention rates. Utilize data to develop and implement effective strategies to improve and maintain staff satisfaction and retention. Coordinate the implementation of succession plans for all supervisory staff and development plans for all staff.

Project Management and Quality Improvement: Plan and implement large-scale projects to include facility moves, facility consolidation, and establishment of community initiatives with established partners. Coordination of a variety of quality improvement activities to include surveys, cycle time, waste-walks, and other activities intended to provide quality data. Utilization of data and PDSA cycles to effectively implement improvement processes in all areas of staffing and site programs.

Community Partnerships Identify key community stakeholders (academic, non-profit, CBO, FQHC, religious) and develop effective reciprocal community partnerships. Establish and maintain an Academic Health Department model within the site.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

*State Minimum Requirements: *Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Some positions require certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA). In addition, some positions require Basic Life Support Certification.

**Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: **BSN from an accredited school of nursing and a valid license to practice nursing in South Carolina and two years nurse management experience.

Must has a valid SC Nursing License, Compact License or Multi-State License. Current BLS certification required. Extensive knowledge of effective hiring and retention concepts. Must be able to apply QI concepts (Lean concepts) to clinic processes and healthcare practice. Must have ability to identify and establish effective reciprocal relationships with community partners. Must be able to plan, implement and manage large-scale projects. Must have ability to apply nursing judgement in review of site implementation of nursing standing orders and policies. Must have extensive knowledge of CLIA, SC Pharmacy Board, and SC Nursing Board requirements. Must have ability to interact with staff, customers, partners and citizens utilizing effective communication and emotional intelligence.

Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs and lift a minimum of 35 pound. This position involves work with Personally Identifiable Health Information (PHI) and requires maintenance of advanced HIPAA training certifications at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Requirements: Master's Degree and five years' experience managing large multi-disciplinary groups (40-60 people), projects or clinics. Ten years management experience may be substituted for Master's Degree.

Additional Comments

All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.

In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DHEC employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
