AnMed Health Behavioral Health Specialist - Behavioral Health Unit in Anderson, South Carolina
The Behavioral Health Specialist (LPC/ MSW or RN) performs as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Functions include providing direct and indirect patient services to the adult and geriatric population and their families in the hospital system including individual and group therapy, and family sessions. Additional job responsibilities include completing initial intake assessments of patients presenting through the AnMed Health Hospital system in determining the appropriate level of care.
Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree or higher in social work or counseling or Registered Nurse. State licensure to include Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or licensed Registered Nurse. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a mental health setting with strong mental health assessment skills and crisis management skills required.
RN ADN candidates must be enrolled in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire and are required to obtain BSN within four (4) years of date of hire. For current AnMed Health Associate Degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years will be waived.
This position will require cross-training to the Crisis Assessment & Treatment (CAT) Team.
